Darina Prokopets, Esq. focuses her practice on family and matrimonial law. She represents clients in contested and uncontested divorces, custody and visitation disputes, child support and paternity matters, as well as family offense proceedings.
Darina is both a seasoned trial attorney and an accomplished negotiator. She has litigated cases from inception through trial in Supreme and Family Courts, but she is equally adept at resolving disputes through settlement. Her ability to balance rigorous courtroom advocacy with practical, solution-oriented negotiation allows her clients to protect their interests while often avoiding unnecessary conflict and expense.
Darina's approach involves careful preparation, strategic thinking, and empathy. She understands the emotional weight of family law disputes and works closely with each client to develop a clear plan tailored to their goals, whether that means pursuing litigation or reaching a fair resolution outside of court.
In addition to her family law practice, Darina has represented buyers, sellers, and lending institutions in residential real estate transactions.
Darina earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2015 and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Philosophy of Law and History from Brooklyn College in 2011.
